Admitted to the Paris and New York Bars, Alexandre Meyniel advises and represents companies, corporate executives, investors and shareholders in their most strategic disputes before state courts and arbitral tribunals in France and the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His practice focuses primarily on international arbitration and civil and commercial litigation. He has acted as counsel in commercial and investment arbitration proceedings conducted under the rules of the leading international arbitral institutions, including the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) and JAMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also represents clients before the French and U.S. courts, including the courts of the States of New York and Delaware, in complex disputes involving cross-border issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His practice primarily covers corporate disputes, including post-acquisition litigation (earn-out disputes and warranty claims), shareholder disputes, directors’ liability and shareholder activism. He also advises on commercial disputes, particularly those relating to franchise, distribution, commercial agency, licensing and SaaS agreements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alexandre Meyniel also has extensive experience in urgent proceedings before both state courts and arbitral tribunals, enabling him to obtain, within particularly demanding timeframes, the interim and conservatory measures necessary to protect his clients’ rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alexandre also serves as arbitrator in domestic and international arbitration proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before co-founding Cartier Meyniel in 2020, Alexandre practiced with Scemla Loizon Veverka & de Fontmichel (now Vigui\u00e9 Schmidt) and subsequently with Jones Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alexandre works fluently in both French and English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
